Our Story
Springdale Farms is a part of a fourth-generation family farm raising cattle and crops in Woodstock, VA. What began as a local grist mill and then dairy farm, has grown into a diversified livestock and crop operation on a designated Virginia Century Farm.
Our team is almost entirely made up by family. Springdale Farms began when siblings Billy, Martin, Timmy, and Shelley, wanted to be able to sell individual cuts of their beef to family and friends. Springdale Farms works directly with our other family business, French Brothers Dairy and Springdale Poultry, to raise cattle and grow crops to keep them well fed. Also, on the team, are nephews, nieces and family friends who help with the day to day operations, as well as a few well-loved farm dogs.
Most importantly we praise and Thank God for this land, our community and His Grace to work hard. The grace of caring for the land and each other produces many fruits. Best of all are the people we meet as we all call our family and friends to the dinner table.
While a family farm makes it clear that there’s always work to be done, our family values remind us that it’s important to take the time to appreciate the land, our food, and each other. Time spent together away from the farm is always centered around good food. Whether family supper is serving 1 or 100, there is a good chance that Springdale Farms beef will be on the menu.
